    Diamond Gate is the main arrival entrance for all customers.

Travelling By Car

  • Yes — all vehicles that plan to park on site require a valid parking pass.

    Parking is pre-book recommended. Limited parking tickets may be available on arrival subject to availability.

Travelling By Train and/or Shuttle Bus

  • Chippenham is the closest train station to GemFest.

    Shuttle buses will operate between Chippenham Station and the festival site throughout the event.

    Shuttle bus tickets must be purchased in advance as a separate add-on ticket. Please ensure you purchase the correct departure time before travelling.

    Important Information

Pick-Up / Drop-Off

    The walk from the drop-off area to the festival entrance is approximately 60–80 metres.

  • Yes — taxis, Ubers and private drop-offs may all use the designated pick-up/drop-off area.

  • Vehicles may wait for a maximum of 10 minutes only.

    Please ensure all belongings are ready before arriving at the drop-off point to help keep traffic moving.

    Customers are not permitted to walk to or leave the festival site on foot.

    GemFest is located alongside high-speed roads with no safe pedestrian routes to or from the site. For the safety of both festival attendees and other road users, all arrivals and departures must be via approved transport methods only, including:

Arrival & Entry Information

Campsite Information

  • Customers are free to camp where they choose within the general camping areas provided.

    Please follow steward instructions on arrival and be respectful of surrounding campers when choosing your space.

  • No — campsite areas are not individually named.

    Stewards will be available throughout the campsites to help direct customers towards available camping space.

    You are welcome to save reasonable space for friends arriving later where possible. However, please be considerate of surrounding campers and available space.

    The following camping areas are restricted and require the relevant ticket or accreditation:

    • Accessible Campsite

    • VIP Camping

    • Glamping Areas

    Customers without the correct access will not be permitted entry into these areas.

  • Yes — trolleys are permitted into the festival and campsite areas.

    However, we strongly advise packing lightly where possible as trolleys may slow down security searches and entry times.

    Stewards will be present throughout the campsite areas to assist with:

  • Please pack responsibly and only bring what you genuinely need for the weekend.

    We strongly encourage customers to avoid bringing single-use items wherever possible and help us reduce unnecessary waste across the festival site.

    Please only bring equipment, camping gear and belongings that you intend to take home with you after the festival.

    Any reusable or unwanted camping equipment can be donated to our local charity partner on departure from the festival on Monday. Donation points will be clearly signposted exit.

  • General Camping includes access to:

    • Toilets

    • Drinking water points

    VIP Camping and Glamping includes access to:

    • Posh-loos

    • Hot showers

    Please note that queues should be expected during peak periods.

    Drinking water points are available throughout all campsites and within the arena.

  • To help keep everyone safe, the following rules apply across all campsite areas:

    • No open fires

    • No BBQs

    • No gas stoves or gas canisters

    • No amplified sound systems

    • Fire lanes must be kept clear at all times

    Festival Management reserves the right to move tents, gazebos or equipment if they obstruct emergency access routes.

    Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the festival’s full Terms & Conditions before attending.

  • GemFest is committed to protecting the beautiful grounds of Charlton Park Estate and we ask all attendees to help us leave the site exactly as we found it.

    Please take all your belongings and rubbish home with you, including:

    • Tents

    • Chairs

    • Camping equipment

    • Gazebos

    • Any other items you bring to site

    Abandoned equipment cannot usually be recycled and often ends up in landfill.

    Please make use of the bins and recycling points provided throughout the festival and respect the land, wildlife and surrounding environment at all times.

    Keeping your campsite tidy throughout the weekend helps create a safer and more enjoyable experience for everyone.

    Any reusable or unwanted camping equipment can be donated to our local charity partner when leaving the festival on Monday. Donation points will be clearly signposted across the campsites.

On-site Facilities

    We encourage all customers to bring a reusable water bottle and stay hydrated throughout the weekend.

  • Hot showers are available to customers staying in:

    • VIP Camping

    Showers are not available within General Camping.

    A wide range of food traders will be operating throughout the festival, offering a variety of cuisines and dietary options.

    Food traders will be available across both daytime and evening trading periods.

    Customers may bring reasonable quantities of food for personal consumption within the campsites.

    Bars are located throughout the arena and selected customer areas.

    GemFest operates as a fully cashless event. All bars, traders and festival-operated outlets accept card and contactless payments only.

    We recommend bringing a payment card or ensuring your mobile payment method (such as Apple Pay or Google Pay) is set up before arriving on-site.

    Please note that cash cannot be accepted at bars, traders, shuttle buses or festival-operated facilities.

Welfare & Safety

  • The Welfare Area is located within the arena, approximately 30 metres to the left of the Information Point and Merchandise Tent.

    It will be clearly signposted on-site and marked on the festival map available through the Woov app.

    If you ever need support during the event, please do not hesitate to visit the Welfare Team. Whether you’re feeling unwell, overwhelmed, vulnerable or simply need somewhere quiet to take a moment, the team are there to help.

  • Our Welfare Team is available throughout the festival to support with:

    • Mental health and wellbeing support

    • Safe spaces and quiet areas

    • General welfare concerns

    • Substance harm reduction support

    • Assistance contacting friends or support teams

    If you’re feeling overwhelmed, distressed or simply need somewhere quiet to reset, please visit our Welfare team.

    Customers looking for a quieter environment away from the main festival areas are welcome to use the Welfare Area at any time throughout the event.

  • Before heading into the festival, we recommend agreeing a meeting point with your group in case you become separated.

    Mobile signal can become limited during busy periods, so having a pre-arranged meeting point can save a lot of stress later in the day.

    If you need assistance locating a vulnerable member of your group, please speak to our Stewards, Welfare or Security teams.

  • GemFest operates a zero-tolerance policy on illegal drugs, including nitrous oxide. Searches will be in place. Anyone found in possession will be evicted and may be referred to police.

  • In an emergency, please immediately approach:

    • Security

    • Welfare Teams

    • Medical Teams

    • Any member of staff in high-visibility clothing

    If you see something concerning or believe somebody may be at risk, please report it immediately.

Rules & Prohibited Items

  • The following items are strictly prohibited anywhere on-site:

    • Illegal drugs, nitrous oxide and any psychoactive substances

    • Paint spray cans, permanent markers or other items intended for graffiti or vandalism

    • Knives or bladed articles (including locking knives)

    • Glass bottles or containers (except small make-up or perfume bottles)

    • Fireworks, explosives, flares, smoke canisters, gas canisters and air horns

    • Weapons, imitation weapons or anything that could reasonably be considered an offensive weapon

    • Laser devices or laser pens

    • Large or professional sound systems, PA equipment, subwoofers or similar audio setups

    • Gas stoves, barbecues or any type of gas canisters

    • Generators or chemical toilets (except fixed units within approved live-in vehicles)

    • Sky lanterns, paraffin lamps or candles

    • Drones, UAVs or remote-controlled devices

    • High-visibility clothing or tabards unless authorised by the festival

    • Payment systems such as PDQ or EPOS devices

    • Animals, except registered assistance dogs which must be declared in advance to the Access Team

    Any prohibited items may be confiscated and festival management reserves the right to refuse entry where necessary.

  • Yes — alcohol may be brought into the campsite on first entry only.

    The maximum allowance per person is:

    • 10 x 440ml cans of lager, cider or beer, OR

    • 12 x 250ml cans of premixed spirits, OR

    • 1 x 3-litre box of wine

    Please note:

    • Spirits and hard liquor are not permitted

    • Glass bottles are not permitted

    • Alcohol cannot be taken into the arena

    • Alcohol may not be brought back into the festival after leaving the site

  • Yes.

    Customers may bring reasonable quantities of food for personal consumption within the campsites.

    Cooking equipment is not permitted on-site. Please refer to the Camping Information section for further details.

  • No.

    Glass bottles are not permitted anywhere on-site.

    The only exception is small make-up and perfume bottles.

  • No.

    Large speakers, sound systems, PA equipment, subwoofers and similar amplified audio equipment are not permitted within the campsites or festival site.

  • No.

    Drones, UAVs and remote-controlled flying devices are strictly prohibited anywhere on-site.

  • Yes.

    Registered assistance dogs are permitted but must be declared in advance through our Customer Service team before arriving on-site.
